Crisil Foundation conducts Financial Literacy awareness program in vibrant villages of Nyoma.
Nyoma, January 31, 2025: Crisil Foundation implementing Moneywise Centre For Financial Literacy- CFL under aegis of DEA Fund RBI & FIF NABARD supported by State Bank of India in Ladakh, conducted two financial literacy awareness program at Nyoma and Nider.
The awareness camps were organized by CFL staff nyoma in collaboration with local community heads. Mr Amit Kumar LDO RBI, Jammu attended awareness camps and interacted with the community members and briefed them about the regulatory role of RBI, customer rights and grievance redresal mechansim. Mr Amit discussed in detail about the services being provided by the banks and other financial institutions and stressed upon local community members to enroll in various government sponsored employment generation schemes.
Centre Manage CFL Nyoma Ms Rigzin Yangdol gave a detailed presentation on various social security schemes(PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY, SSY) and discussed in detail the process of enrolling and benefits of social security schemes. Ms Rigzin discussed in detail the various credit schemes being provided by various departments under KCC, PMEGP, and LRLM.
Kifayat Hussain, Senior Manager Crisil Foundation discussed in detail about the benefits of digital banking and prevention of cyber frauds and scams. Mr Kifayat, briefed the participants to enroll under Jan suraksha to avail benefits.
The FL awareness programs are conducted on a regular basis by CFL staff in Changthan division, as part of the special focus on saturation of social security schemes in vibrant villages.
Crisil Foundation has seven CFLs in leh district covering all blocks of leh district under Moneywise CFL project being implemented under supervision of Lead District Manager Leh.
