Jammu :In a significant breakthrough, the Jammu Police, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Miran Sahib, have arrested four individuals involved in an attempt to murder case, recovering sharp-edged weapons used in the crime. The accused were apprehended following a comprehensive investigation after the crime was reported earlier this month.

On September 15, 2024, a complaint was lodged by Amanjeet Singh, a resident of Village Kirpind, R.S. Pura, at Police Station Miran Sahib. In his written report, Amanjeet stated that his brother was brutally attacked by four individuals—Abhinandan Borney alias Abhi, Sandeep Kumar alias Golu (both residents of Kirpind), Shakeel (resident of Rattian), and Anmol Singh alias Laddu (resident of Makhanpur Gujran). The accused used sharp-edged weapons to assault the victim, targeting his vital organs with an intent to kill. After committing the heinous act, the perpetrators fled the scene, leaving the victim severely injured.

FIR Registration and Investigation:

Acting on the complaint, Police Station Miran Sahib registered an FIR No. 96/2024 under sections 126(2), 115(2), 109, 191, 190, 324(4)/BNS, and 4/25 of the Arms Act, initiating a thorough investigation into the case. A special police team led by the Bhoopinder Singh ,Station House Officer (SHO) of Miran Sahib , under the supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura, was formed to apprehend the absconding suspects.

Swift Police Action:

Through meticulous efforts, including the use of technical surveillance and on-ground human intelligence, the police managed to trace the accused individuals. The arrested persons have been identified as:

Abhinandan Borney alias Abhi (S/O Yashpal, resident of Kirpind)

Sahil Kumar alias Golu (S/O Ramesh Kumar, resident of Kirpind)

Anmol Singh alias Laddu (S/O Maan Singh, resident of Makhanpur Gujran)

Mohd Shakeel (S/O Mohd Mussa, resident of Rattian)

Confession and Recovery:

During interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in the attack. Based on their disclosures, the police team recovered two sharp-edged weapons used in the assault, which further substantiated their confession.

The police are continuing their investigation to unravel any additional motives or accomplices involved in the crime. The recovery of weapons is a crucial development that will aid in ensuring a robust prosecution against the accused.
