𝐋𝐞𝐡, 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: The District Hub for Empowerment of Women announced the launch of a 100-day special awareness campaign under SANKALP: Hub for Empowerment of Women on June 21 in Nubra Block.

This initiative is focused on women-centric themes, aiming to educate and empower women and girls through a series of awareness sessions and camps. The campaign which commenced on June 21 will cover all components of Mission Shakti, including PMMVY, OSC, and WHL, reaching out to communities and schools throughout the Nubra Block, UT Ladakh.

The SANKALP campaign is designed to create a robust support system for women by providing essential information, resources, and services. Key components of Mission Shakti that will be highlighted during the campaign include Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) which is a maternity benefit program that provides financial assistance to pregnant women and lactating mothers.

Secondly, it includes One Stop Centers (OSC) which includes facilities that provide integrated support and assistance to women affected by violence. It also includes a Women Helpline (WHL) that operates 24-hours and offers immediate response to women in distress.

The campaign will feature interactive sessions, workshops, and educational activities aimed at enhancing awareness and understanding of these critical services. By engaging directly with communities and schools, the initiative seeks to foster a supportive environment where women and girls can thrive and access the resources they need.

SANKALP is an initiative focused on the empowerment of women through awareness, education, and support services. It aims to create an enabling environment where women can achieve their full potential and contribute to the socio-economic development of their communities.
