๐๐๐ก, ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐: Joint Director, Sheep Husbandry Department, Dr Iftikhar Hussain and District Sheep Husbandry Officer Leh, Dr Tsewang Morup visited Nyoma sub division and inspected SECs of Hanley, Kuyul, Dongtee and Rongo on June 26.
Officers also interacted with the pashmina herder community. Joint Director, Dr Iftikhar Hussain handed over a solarized lift irrigation pump intended for pasture development. He added that this initiative aims to support the pashmina herder of Nyoma by improving the availability of fodder through sustainable irrigation practices.
It was informed that the introduction of solarized lift irrigation pump will enhance the efficiency of water usage for fodder cultivation by providing a reliable feed source for herders/livestock.
Further, Joint Director, Dr Iftikhar Hussain, DSHO Leh and AD Nyoma highlighted various initiatives and educated the gathering.
